Norbord launches new CaberBoard flooring promotional campaign – with the help of man’s best friend!

Norbord has launched a new promotional campaign which is designed to optimise sales of the company’s innovative CaberBoard flooring range through the builders’ merchant; and add a bit of fun to the yard.

Four dog breeds have been chosen and each allocated a product in the portfolio depending on given properties. CaberFloor P5 is aligned with a Labrador - stable and reliable; CaberDek and the German shepherd – protective; CaberShieldPlus and the Newfoundland - excellent waterproof protection; and Caberfix with a Jack Russell - these fixings won’t tire or wear easily! 

David Connacher, Norbord’s Brand and Communications Manager, explains more, “Qualities such as loyal, reliable, protective and trusted emerged when we explored this idea further with those that use our products. Indeed, these very qualities were expanded upon with feedback including:  ‘it won’t let you down’, ‘we know it will do the job’ and ‘dependable product I always turn to’. From this, the comparison with the qualities of ‘man’s best friend’ became very apparent and, as such, our promotional campaign giving each flooring product its own dog mascot was born.”

Advertisements and POS items are also included in the promotional mix.
