Housebuilders – A sound way to soundproof homes in this noisy world

The world is noisy! We are surrounded by more people and more “things” as we progress onwards and upwards. It’s fast and furious everywhere – motorways, workplaces, people, technology; the list is endless! All good stuff when we want it.

And, for most, the safe, quiet haven is the home – that is, if there’s the ability to eliminate noisy neighbours, trumpet practice and vacuum cleaners.

Here at Norbord, the No 1 leading panel manufacturer in the UK, and expert in all things “wood panels”, we have honed our expertise to help housebuilders comply with the everyday ‘noise pollution’ issue by inventing a new, quiet flooring system for housebuilders. CaberAcoustic has been designed to reduce any troublesome impact and airborne transmitted sounds - whatever they may be in the client’s home.

And to throw in a little bit about the science of noise decibels, 19dB is the reduction in sound transference when CaberAcoustic is used solo. (Obviously, greater reductions can be enjoyed when used with other sound reduction systems – even carpets and a multitude of soft furnishings will bring the noise levels down.)

CaberAcoustic can be installed in both new and existing buildings, on timber and concrete floors.  It must be laid as a floating floor directly above a flooring deck felt side down – and yes, it’s environmentally-friendly, recycled fibre cosy felt. If you are building a new floor in a new build, then CaberAcoustic is complimentary to Norbord’s CaberFloor P5, CaberDek or CaberShieldPlus.

It’s a most cost-effective system for the housebuilder as it’s a complete “under one roof” flooring system so no messing about running to and from the builders’ merchant for that forgotten adhesive. It comes with all fixings so no challenges there - CaberFix T&G PVA glue.

Using this innovative sound reducing product, housebuilders as well as homeowners can relax with us!
